2024 Gunnedah Chamber AGM

Our AGM, held on Thursday October 17 kicked off with the perfect opportunity to network and connect with refreshments and canapés thanks to the team at Maverick Bistro.

Official proceedings began with a quick hello from Santos who supported this event and a financial report from our Treasurer Jasmine Alloway.

An update from then President, Ben Hennessy of Hennessy Real Estate spoke to us of the origins of Chamber of Commerce (Founded in 1599 in France FYI). 425 years ago the first Chamber of Commerce formed which speaks to the longevity and need for the organisations worldwide.

Throughout the past 12 months our Chamber has contributed:

🎄 2023 Christmas Festival

🧒 Gunnedah Youth Expo

🩺 Gunnedah Health Connect Trivia Night

🏆 2024 Gala Business Awards

🚜 AqQuip Shop Local Campaign

📃 Gunnedah Beyond 2050 Strategy

👷‍♀️ Regional and Industrial Development Subcommittee

🗣️ 2024 Meet the Candidates

🧑‍💼 Small Business Month 2024

💼 Represented on 6 Gunnedah Shire Council working groups

🤝 8 x Chamber Connect Networking Events

We had the opportunity to thank those who served on the 23/24 committee and welcome those now serving on the 24/25 committee and also to hear from faces that were new to town, new to Chamber or new to an AGM with us.
