Gunnedah Conservatorium presents Secret Bridesmaids Business!

The Gunnedah Conservatorium is proud to be the embodiment of “Live and Local” and it is in this spirit that they present Secret Bridemaids’ Business at The Civic for FIVE LIVE SHOWS from July 27 to August 5.

They need your support. The Conservatorium is not asking for sponsorship just your bum on a seat at The Civic. Secret Bridesmaids’ Business features a great local cast …

Ruth Macaulay as Meg Bacon. Graduate of Excelsia with a Bachelor of Dramatic Arts Majoring in Performance, Ruth returned to Gunnedah this year as the Coordinator of Dorothea Mackellar Poetry Competition.

Alison Myers as Angela. Alison is a Graduate of National Actor’s Conservatory and has appeared on stage in Brisbane and has featured in television work. She is the stay-at-mother of five girls and in her spare time (!) runs the small business The Five Sisters’ Baking Company. She performed in the Two Rivers Arts Council’s production of Royal Wedding in 2016.

Jo Barton as Lucy. Jo is a mother of two and runs her own small business in Gunnedah. While she has a flare for the stage, this is her first production (aside from some drama lessons as a child).

Kerry Wirth as Colleen Bacon (Mother of the Bride). Gunnedah born and bred, Kerry is a mother of three and grandmother of one. Kerry works as a casual teacher by day and moonlights as an amateur actor of evenings.

Grace Norris as Naomi. Grace is a Gunnedah native and makes her Gunnedah stage debut in Secret Bridesmaid Business.

and Ben Hennessy as James. Ben is a well-known local business identity and father of three. Ben performed in a number of productions with the Two Rivers Arts Council in the early 2000s and it is great to see him back on stage in this production.
